Your statutory consumer rights come first. This page explains our practical returns process and does not reduce any rights you have under UK consumer law.
Change of mind - standard catalogue products
If you buy a standard, non-personalised product online as a consumer, you normally have the right to cancel the contract within 14 days after the day you receive the goods. After telling us that you are cancelling, you normally have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
A standard Doodles & Scribble design does not become non-returnable simply because it is printed after you place the order. The legal exception is for goods made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised, not ordinary catalogue choices merely produced after checkout.
How to cancel
Send us a clear statement that you want to cancel using the contact form. Include your order reference, the email used at checkout and the item or items you want to cancel. You do not need to use special wording.
An optional model cancellation form is also provided on this page. You may use it, but you do not have to. A clear statement sent before the cancellation deadline is sufficient where the statutory right applies.
Returning a change-of-mind item
- Keep the item in a condition that allows us to resell it.
- You may inspect it as you reasonably would in a shop, but we may reduce a refund for loss in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
- Unless we agree otherwise, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning a change-of-mind item.
- Please obtain proof of postage and package the item securely.
Refund timing
Where the statutory cancellation right applies, we will refund the price paid and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method we offered for that order. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods back or you provide evidence that you sent them, whichever happens first. The refund will normally be made using the same payment method and within the legal time limit.
Personalised and genuinely custom products
The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to goods that are made to your individual specifications or are clearly personalised. This can include, for example, a product created from artwork, wording, names, images or specifications supplied specifically by you rather than selected from our standard catalogue.
If a custom product is faulty, damaged, misprinted or not as described, your legal rights still apply.
Sealed hygiene-sensitive products
Where a product is sealed and is not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons, the statutory cancellation right may be lost after the seal is broken if the legal exception applies. Where relevant, we will make that clear before purchase.
Faulty, damaged, misprinted or incorrect goods
If an item arrives damaged, defective, materially misprinted, not as described or different from what you ordered, contact us promptly with your order reference and a clear description of the problem. We may ask for photographs so we can resolve the issue quickly.
Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, the appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or refund. We will not make you pay the return cost for goods that must be returned because they are faulty, incorrect or not as described.
Wrong size or colour
If you chose the wrong size or colour from a standard catalogue product, the normal online cancellation rules above may apply. Check the Size Guide and product-specific measurements before ordering, but using a size guide does not remove your statutory rights.
Orders already in production
Contact us immediately if you want to change or cancel an order. We may be able to stop production, but we cannot promise that a production change can be made. Whether you retain a legal cancellation right depends on the type of product and the applicable consumer law, not simply on whether production has started.
How to contact us
Use the contact page and include your order reference. Keep your order confirmation and any proof of return until the matter is complete.
