Two different measurements: around the body, or across a garment laid flat. Follow the picture that matches the chart row.
Measure under the arms and around the fullest part of the chest. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug. This is a body measurement.
Lay a T-shirt that fits well flat. Measure straight across from one armpit to the other. Do not measure around the shirt.
Lay the top flat. Start at the highest shoulder point beside the neck and measure straight down to the bottom hem. This is not the child’s height.
