How to measure, made simple.

Two different measurements: around the body, or across a garment laid flat. Follow the picture that matches the chart row.

Chest: all the way around ALL THE WAY AROUND

Chest: all the way around

Measure under the arms and around the fullest part of the chest. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug. This is a body measurement.

Width: armpit to armpit LAID FLAT

Width: armpit to armpit

Lay a T-shirt that fits well flat. Measure straight across from one armpit to the other. Do not measure around the shirt.

Length: shoulder to hem TOP TO HEM

Length: shoulder to hem

Lay the top flat. Start at the highest shoulder point beside the neck and measure straight down to the bottom hem. This is not the child’s height.

A garment width is not a chest circumference. Compare a favourite garment for the clearest fit check.

Measurements are approximate: centimetres are rounded to whole numbers; inches to one decimal. Always compare the chart for this exact garment.
